Coleman Family | Christmas Tree Cutting Portrait Session | Sherwood, OR

It was a very cold and wet day in the Portland area. We arrived and all I could think was “I really hope she didn’t wear nice boots.” hah! She looked STUNNING and somehow was able to get through the family portrait session NOT covered in mud. Incredible! We had a blast documenting their first Christmas tree-cutting at my favorite, Sunny Day Tree Farm, in Sherwood, OR.  Look how adorable those little brothers are with each other!  It was a good mix of a few posed shots and some fun candid shots as they adventured through the tree farm to find THE right Christmas tree for their home that season.   Big brother kept checking to see if dad was “doing it right” as he cut down the tree with a hand saw.   These images will be so fun for them to reflect on in a few years as the boys grow up.

At their in-home order session we hung a few frame samples on their living room walls to see which complimented their decor best, after viewing their image slideshow.  They selected a beautiful dark walnut wood to frame 4 enlarged images from their session. The walnut also complimented the images ‘naturey” feel.  It all turned out so lovely!

Go see their final framed images in my Instagram Stories.
