Raise your hand if you’ve been kicked out of church

Yep. That’s right. Well, actually I wasn’t “kicked out” of church per say…..more like turned away. As Anna and I prowled the parking lot for a spot, I almost felt the need to have her drop me off at the entrance so I could “get our names on the list” so we could get a seat in church. Needless to say, we just power-walked in our race to the front door with all the other “hungry” latecomers. Apparently churches won’t let you stand in the back in accordance to “Fire Codes.” What? Like it’s not going to become an uncontrolled environment if there’s a fire anyway? Yea, those 3 people standing in the back impeded all the crazy people running around trying to get out of the sanctuary due to the fire. Anna and I got lunch at the new salad place downstairs and listened to an old podcast of Matt Chandler in my apt while we ate our glorious salads.

It has officially been confirmed/reinforced that people in apartments do NOT have any right to have a dog (that uses the bathroom outside.) My weekend babysitting Ben’s puppy, Jack, was a whole bunch more work than I had anticipated. I guess I forgot how much work goes into having a puppy around. It’s literally like taking care of a baby. Ben told me Jack was potty trained (at his place) – (NOT mine.) Note to self: don’t clean the house prior to babysitting a puppy. Overall I had a fun time playing with Jack, even though he peed in my apt more times than I can count on 1 hand. Thank YOU, Resolve for Pet Stains.Pet Stained Carpet

Relaxed Jack

Jack1

My cousin was in town getting a tattoo by her sister’s husband at Elm Street Tattoo, so I brought Jack by for a quick visit. Afterwards I took him on a brisk walk along the trail I jogg and he didn’t last 1/4 of it. Hahaha….he was wheezing so we retreated back to the car for some water. The best part of having Jack for the weekend was the hour-long nap we took together on the couch this afternoon. He was sprawled out flat on top of me and I just crashed. Nothing’s better than a nice Sunday afternoon nap (with a puppy on your chest)!
