How many people can say they’ve been to The House of Blues at 7:19 AM? Well, I can now proudly confirm that I have. My boss called me last night after work to tell me that we needed to be at the small business conference at 7:30 in the morning and for me to buy us tickets online. If you could imagine my face doing a “double take”- that’s exactly what it did. I could have sworn he said 7 PM. Dang.
Needless to say, I was pretty impressed with the place. Although, I would like to go back next time for an actual concert or something of that nature. I don’t usually “enjoy” business situations so much, because everyone is so tense and fake and uses their “business laugh”- which is just beyond awkward (I can’t help but craft up skit after skit in my head mocking them.) Well, it being 7 AM (and not fully awake or caring), I think I did a big business-no-no. I see the breakfast bar in the distance and my boss hadn’t arrived yet, so naturally I head towards it. Two other ladies are scurrying around looking for utensils in which to handle the food, as well as, to eat with so I grab a plate and start grabbing tiny muffins and copy the lady next to me by awkwardly scooping strawberries onto my plate. I couldn’t help but feel like a piece of meat being gawked at by the huge line to my right near the coffee station, until I walked away with my little plate of food and my o.j. and realized -OH, THAT was the line to get food. Quick, hide somewhere! Crap, why did I have to wear bright colors and have blond hair?!

I am very ecstatic in the fact that I GET to puppysit this weekend for Ben. He has a puggle named Jack- AKA- the love of my life. I have so many fun things planned for us to do outside this weekend. Even though he already pooped in the hallway of my apt. complex (i don’t blame him- it’s cement flooring and feels like outside) after I took him downstairs to potty, I am not angry. I just hope this doesn’t become a pattern or occur inside my apt. But let’s be honest, if it does it will be kinda funny.

Even though my birthday is approaching in 1 week, I think my next purchase is going to be the complete 4-season set TV series of Felicity on DVD. I can’t seem to find it anywhere other than amazon.com and I feel like it’s a bit pricey….no?
