Last night my roomie and I had a little date. We went to The Angelika Film Center, which shows mostly independent films, in Mockingbird Station to see “Becoming Jane.” I was very pleased with my experience. First of all, I LOVE Mockingbird Station for many reasons. Great food, great shopping, and good entertainment. The movie was also very good! James McAvoy does an amazing job as the co-star, Tom Lefroy. He is also in an upcoming movie, Atonement, which I can’t wait to see. For those of you Narnia fans, he was the infamous Mr. Tumus in The Chronicles of Narnia.

Today started off interestingly. First of all, it felt like California outside at 8 AM, which is so unlike TX summer weather, however, this summer’s weather has been very finicky and unpredictable. So naturally, I roll down my windows, slide open the sun roof, turn the corner and BAM- iced coffee EVERYWHERE! Lovely. For one reason or another I just sat there in disbelief that there was now iced coffee flowing freely out of the ‘spill proof’ mug onto my purse, passenger seat, and sack lunch. Low and behold, I quickly recovered by yanking out the mass amounts of Starbucks napkins I’ve collected overtime. So, I’ve almost gotten my money’s worth.

The “Funny Quote Of The Day” goes to my co-worker, Chris. We’re walking into Jaxx Cafe for lunch, which is located in front of a motel. I joked we should hit up the maid carts that were parked outside random rooms and my boss, Sean, said he likes to stock his guest bathrooms with the “nicer” complimentary soaps you get when you travel to upscale hotels. That’s when Chris chimed in with “Well, with four kids…I just make sure the toilet’s flushed.”
