A great president

So I have to start off with a little negative news. My dad called from Brazil to tell me about an accident that happened here in TX. My Uncle’s brother was at a dear lease in South TX with my Dad’s best friend and fell off the hunting tower that my dad’s friend built. When he fell he apparently shattered at least the 1st vertibrae of his back. Today he is in a 16 hour long surgery with a 1% that he’ll be able to walk again. Please pray for their family.

As for some good news my co-worker, Chris, and I dined at Luby’s for lunch today. It was surprisingly impressive. I haven’t eaten there in a while (I practically grew up at our local Luby’s in Katy, TX) but they’ve since come under a new management and the food is still to my approval. I had the lemon-pepper salmon. (Salmon is one of my new FAVORITE foods.) We sat next to the aquarium/aquatic life. Kinda ironic considering we were both eating fish. *Sad face*

I’ve recently been listening to The Reagan Diaries on my iPod at work….and any chance I get. Vanity Fair wrote a little something about The Reagan Diaries with images from his hand-written journal. President Reagan’s JournalInteresting fact: President Reagan didn’t keep a journal before his presidency, but that changed the day he was inaugurated. Some friends and I were recently discussing who we’d like to meet dead or alive and I’m pretty sure Ronald would make my top 5. He was such a great man, as well as, President. (Other suggested readings concerning President Reagan-his beautifully creative love letters to his wife, Nancy: I Love You, Ronnie.)
