Whenever we considered moving to Portland, one of the firs things I researched was a solid Christian based preschool or Mother’s Day Out program to replace the one we had in Dallas. I was really happy with his Dallas school and figured we wouldn’t find anything close to it (or comparable in tuition) in Portland. BOOM. This is where the power of God and his amazing sovereignty comes in. We found an amazing rental house (by the grace of God) on Craigslist of all places, and the (awesome) land lord/family recommended the Christian preschool where their oldest son attended the previous year. Not only is it a great school, but it’s a 2 min drive (TWO MINUTES!) from our house and I can even ride my bike there in under 10 minutes. This is a HUGE blessing on many levels, but mostly that I’m not spending an hour in the car every day shuttling him to preschool for only a few hours. School days are my coveted days when I get my work done on the computer (mostly uninterrupted) or can schedule photo shoots in the small window of time I get twice a week. The Lord heard my prayers and answered/over delivered. He is good. We also really love the curriculum and teachers. He’s thriving and learning so much. We are truly grateful.
Here’s some super quick photos we snapped heading out the door on his first day of school this Fall (2015).
Telling me to turn the camera landscape orientation – hah!
