Pregnancy: Week 27

27 weeks pregnant

HOW FAR ALONG? 27 weeks…. only 13 ish weeks left.

SIZE OF OUR SWEET BABY? The head of cauliflower  (about 16 inches head to heal, and about 2.5 lbs).

MATERNITY CLOTHES?  Yep. Still rockin’ them. Got some new maternity yoga pants so I’ll be exercising more soon.

GENDER: BOY

SLEEP?  More vivid/realistic dreams the past couple weeks. They stick with me all day long, it’s so weird/awkward.

FOOD CRAVINGS? Iced coffee, peanut butter, cold milk, sweets (baked goods).

WHAT I MISS?  Exercising outside at the lake. It’s just too dang hot after work and I’ve been so busy or out of town.

SYMPTOMS? (Same as last week.) Achey and swollen feet. Super strong & fast growing finger nails. Less oily skin (which I’ve enjoyed).

BELLY BUTTON? (Same as last week.) SO stretched out. It’s as flat as can be with a tiny part that’s starting to pop out. Also starting to get that linea negra (weird tan vertical line below my belly button).

BEST MOMENT(S) OF THE PAST WEEK?

1. Spending the weekend at the beach (Galveston) with my family/cousins.  I cherish our candid group and individual conversations/laughter. It’s so great that we can pick right back up where we last left off as if not skipping a beat. It was this time last year I was walking the beach with one of my cousins discussing our miscarriage from that recent February. It’s such a blessing to see how far we’ve come in the past year. Praise God!

2. Letting my cousins feel Brady move/kick. It’s so funny to see how it freaks some people out and others are so amazed.

3. Lying in the hammock at the beach house with Brian (how we both fit and didn’t break it still amazes me) while quasi dozing  in and out of a nap and then watching Brady do his crazy rapid dance movements that wiggle my entire belly like he’s trying to get out. It’s hard not to laugh while watching.

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my
own blog soon but I’m having a hard time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

I currently use WordPress as the website/blog platform, but the design is custom. I’ve used WordPress for several years and have been very pleased with it. It can be used in a very simple way or very complex/detailed way – just depends on your needs. Hope you find something that fits your needs well.
