It was funny to watch how the kids experience the birthday cake. Most would slowly pick at their cake slices; other opted to dive right in. My favorite was probably Elliot. He reminds me so much of myself as a kid. He took a look at the cake in front of him… evaluated it for a minute or two, then took both his hands and picked up the piece of cake and double-fisted it into his mouth. No wasted time with the plastic fork. He’s so adorable!!

Brian helped me set up a yellow photo station in the back yard for the families and kids to have the photos taken. Some of the kids really hammed it up and loved having their photos taken. Others were not having it. I got such a kick out of observing all the different personalities the kids have already at age 1. Here are the birthday boys with their wonderful parents.
