So I finally made it to the TEXAS STATE FAIR this year. I’ve lived in the metroplex for the past 4-5 years and have never made it out to the big fair. Fairs don’t really amaze me as much as they did when I was a child… I feel like I have had plenty of interaction with the “carnival atmosphere” throughout my life…but it wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Texas State Fair.

I saw a variety of interesting things/people. Luckily the weather was PERFECT (so of course everyone in Texas headed to the fair). We tried to go to one of the dog shows, but were too late, it was at full capacity. So, we went to the petting zoo instead. (way better).
We interacted with so many cute and hilarious animals. One of (what looked like the llama’s cousins) had its head stuck in a bucket while sprawled out on all fours… the giraffe was posing for my camera, the miniature horse was unknowingly playing beauty shop with some toddlers, and the camel was relaxing in front of a giant fan (go figure?)…. I just love petting zoos!

Overall, I enjoyed my Texas State Fair experience.
