We had the pleasure of hiking just the two of us (kid free!) while my mom was in town visiting last month. Brian picked out Triple Falls hike in the Colombia River Gorge / Oneonta Gorge. It was amazing. It was cool, but not too cold and only sprinkled a bit. We saw several waterfalls and trekked through some mud and rocks and navigated around fallen trees. There were several breathtaking views of the Colombia River Gorge, as well as, the Oneonta Gorge – where the water is crystal blue and the gorge is lined with moss covered stone walls. The hike “ended” with a view of the triple (3) water falls, which we hiked a little past and got some good pictures of the beautiful bridge just past it. Incredible! It was adventurous and gorgeous. Being immersed in God’s nature/creation always speaks to my heart unlike anything else on earth (ok, maybe food does sometimes, too, but it’s a close call).
Here are some shots I captured on our hike along Triple Falls.
