Farewell to Our Sweet Dallas Home

The last day we were moving out of our house at the end of May (2015) we stopped to take some self-portraits in front of our first (very beloved) home. This was the first home we bought together as a newly married couple (6 months in, Sept 2010), we hosted many church home group gatherings here over the course of 4.5 years, we decorated the nursery and brought our first child (Brady) home to this house, we built a raised garden bed and planted several seasonal gardens, we re-did the front flower beds and added a couple small trees here and there,  Brian “got rid of” probably a hundred squirrels that lived in our huge pecan trees (and ate our outdoor pillows), we hung a baby swing in the back yard (which required renting a really tall ladder), we hosted several family holiday gatherings & big birthday parties for Brady, we enjoyed hosting dinners in our beautiful kitchen/dining area, and we grew to love our elderly (but very capable) neighbor Dorothy – who mowed her own lawn.  It was a truly blessed time living in our sweet little house on Fisher Road.  We loved riding our bikes to White Rock Lake and walking Brady to the playground/splash pad at the the Ridgewood/Blecher Rec Center down the street. We grew as a couple. We grew as a family. We hope & pray this house is as much, if not more, of a blessing to the new owners.  (George was staying with my mom in Houston so he’s missing from these family photos!)
