Worshipping my Creator

No one stands in front of the waves of the ocean and thinks about how amazing they are, or their bench press number, or just how magnificent their company is. They catch their breath and thank the Lord. They are brought to their knees in awe.

This is worship.

I’ve been going through some of my old notes from previous church sermons and I found this text (above) in my notes.  It’s so neat to look at back at what I’ve written, what I was going through, and how I can still relate or see how I’ve grown and what I was going through brought me where I am today. I’ve been very busy lately, and that’s no excuse not to spend time alone with the Lord or in prayer. So tonight, it was so refreshing to do this…. I turned on some David Crowder and read my old notes/journal. Sometimes (Most of the time) my bones ache for worship- especially if I neglect myself from that privilege/ what I was created for!

We make it so easy to ignore the Lord as He reveals himself to us throughout the day/week. We allow the worldly things to creep into our life and if we’re not careful, these things will consume our life.  Many times (we) creation worships creation…when it should really be creation worshiping Creator!  As Graham Cooke says, “When you know you are in the hands of the Creator, you can be the happiest of the happy!” Rest in HIS nature. He never changes (Hebrews 13:8) – You always know where you stand with Him because He’s never changing. Often time I feel like I’m all over the map, but I can confidently turn to my unchanging, unconditionally loving God and fully depend on him to fill me completely.  He is the only thing that completely fulfills us.

Another thing I wrote in my old notes: “Faith is prompted by desperation. Faith moves us to the person of Christ. When all comfort is stripped away we move into faith, which leads us to Christ. It’s the only thing that fulfills us completely… Creation should move us to the Creator.” (see images above.)

There is no such thing as a GOOD day or a BAD day.  Just a day of GRACE!
