The following lyrics make up a pretty impacting song. I heard it in the car this afternoon (not for the first time) and was quasi forced to do a mini self evaluation. I try to have a little self-reflection time ocassionally… but as we’re all victim to, we tend to pass it up quickly as we fear we might actually find something we’re not happy about or proud of or that we may find something wrong with ourselves.
I’m not sure that these questions can truly be answered honestly….we’re almost always going to be disappointed in ourselves and the choices we make. Once we realize this, most of us keep our heads down, pretend we didn’t realize what we’re really doing or not doing and keep living in the rut we’ve been living in. However, there is the rare case that we do realize how we’ve been living and change/improve strive for improvements.

I do have to say that this life is more than I dreamt it would be…. and I strive to be who I want to be (more like Christ) each day… and constantly fail, but I just have to keep striving.
