Continuation of 23rd bday…

To make my birthday even better, I graciously get my birthday as a “holiday” from work. God bless.

Since my bday was on Sunday, I took off Monday. It was a perfect day for a holiday, too. I woke up to drizzley, rainy, grey weather. Perfect napping weather. I booked a massage for the middle of the day at the Stonebriar Spa, to redeem a gift certificate Brian had given me for Christmas. It was about time that I redeemed it! The spa was beautiful and most of the people there were very nice and helpful. It was quite a relaxing environment! The massage was wonderful, especially in the middle of what would normally be a work day. *big smile* After the massage ended, I enjoyed some of the other ammenities such as the steam room, and the relaxation room that had a stone overflowing pot/waterfall thing in the middle of the circular room bordered with comfy lounge chairs, reading material, and a cold beverage. Needless to say, it was a great experience! After running a few errands, I returned home to relax and watch a couple movies. E.T. happened to be on tv, so naturally I HAD to watch it. It is so strange watching movies I used to love as a child and haven’t seen since I was a child. Sometimes I don’t like to view them when I’m older because I feel it might ruin/deplete the ‘magical-ness’ of the movie from my naiive childhood imagination from when I was younger…I don’t know, maybe I’m just weird?

Tuesday morning I returned to work and my boss greeted me with two boxes of my favorite…. SPRINKLES CUPCAKES!!!!!

So basically, I love my job… I get my birthday as a paid holiday and my boss buys me cupcakes!
