Thursday afternoon I had a 3.5 hour meeting where stood up and spoke the whole presentation. After I left the meeting my throat was a bit dry, which is usually pretty normal after speaking for 3.5 hours straight. However, the next two days I woke up with a bit of a scratchy throat…. and on Saturday I woke up with the whole sha-bang. Dang it! This isn’t just your average sinus infection…its a major head cold. In church on Sunday, I literally began to faint..but some how by the grace of God it passed with out me fully fainting. So weird. Also weird, because I usually only faint before I get REALLY sick. Hmmm… I had to come home early yesterday because I could barely get through a phone conversation with out blowing my nose or having a cough attack.

I’ve beentaking my “Emergen-C”s daily as I should. I just plop the powder into water and bam- I’ve got a yummy vitamin-filled drink! I’ve also been drinking my normal two cups of tea a day.

Tonight I have to attend a business function that is very important to my boss, the Dallas Ad League 100 year celebration, as he is the President. This is his last event to host as president, and it should be a neat event. Many of our collegues and business partners will be involved, as well as, present. This type of function is usually a black tie affair, but for some reason they have downgraded to “business dress.” So I guess the mu-mu is out. Shoot. I wonder if that means the neat toiletpaper hat contraption is out as well. Man!

I just know that during a really quiet part of the night/ speech/ award ceremony I am going to have a full- on cough attack. Wish me luck!
