Office meetings and strokes

So my co-workers and I officially experienced a scene that could have come straight from The Office tv show. We were having a fairly normal office meeting and just before it was complete, my boss requested we all stand up. Naturally, we sulked and looked around for possible answers from one another. Nothing…just confused looks. My boss begins to explain himself…. In his “serious voice” he says someone he knew recently had a stroke at a BBQ and he would like to teach us how to test someone to see if they’re having or just had a stroke, which could be detrimental. Since some of us are occasionally insensitive, we giggled and proceeded. My co-workers and I proceed to follow our boss’ instructions. After he tells us to raise our hands above our heads and stick out our tongues, we nearly lost it. Someone dropped their arms and Chris yelled “SIMON DIDN’T SAY TO DROP YOUR ARMS!!” Aren’t we such respective employees?

Apparently if someone thinks they may have experienced a slight stroke, you should test
them. If they cannot complete the following list, call 911.

1. Raise both hands above head
2. Stick out tongue
3. Repeat a sentence you dictate to them. “I’m having a good day.”
4. This is where we started mocking our boss, so I kinda forgot the rest of the list…

ARM STRETCH

I remember I said “if irritability is a sign then I’m stroking as we speak.”
