So being new to Dallas allll the way from Fort Worth (all of 35 miles) I’ve been trying several churches in hopes of finding a great new church home. I am sad to leave my church of the past 4 years, Christ Chapel Bible Church. But the new one in the lead so far is The Village Church located in Flower Mound. It seems as if it were a cousin of Christ Chapel, I think that’s why I am so drawn to it. The lead pastor, Matt Chandler, is one of the most amazing speakers/pastors I have ever heard. (check out some of his sermons in iTunes!!!)

If you’ve ever had problems falling asleep in church before (don’t deny it…we’ve all been there), listening to Matt Chandler is like being at a stand up comedy show. He’s brutally honest while preaching the gospel, which speaks to the heart like no other. The church is growing in size like crazy!! They’re looking to move into a bigger building in the next couple of months just to decrease the amount of video services at odd times. I am excited to get involved in a small group soon!

Tonight my friend, Anna, and I are going to the “Find a Home Group” meeting for all the Dallas area folks who attend The Village Church. We already know of 2 potential groups that we’ve been referred to…so we’ll see!

Now, onto FOOD…

One of my new favorite discoveries is www.chow.com . I highly suggest you check it out if you like food (if you don’t…I probably don’t know you.) The site is gigantic! It’s full of puns and recipes galore. If you ever wanted to know anything about food your life is complete with CHOW.com! I’m available for taste testing at all times.
