Yes, maybe Billy Blanks looks like a characature.. but he’s a great & motivating trainer. I used to do Tae Bo almost daily back in the late 90’s when I was in Jr. High. Let me tell you, I was in SUPER great shape…. ok, maybe I also ran track and played volleyball and did cheerleading, but still- Tae Bo was a big player. Since it started getting dark SO much earlier, it’s not as “safe” for me to jog outside on trails alone, even if I carry mace/pepper spray. That does not mean I’m about to give up on my daily work outs! I’ve been jogging and playing tennis, but I just haven’t seen the results I want, so I quickly remembered/day dreamed about the good ole days when I actively pursued Tae Bo. Since I don’t have a VHS player for my old Tae Bo tapes, I picked up a DVD set of “updated” Tae Bo courses at Wal-Mart. I’ve only done one of the three sections on the DVD so far and I will try out more tonight. {I’m already feeling soreness!} The first section on the DVD was a bit informal/unrefined…as if it was the first time for everyone to do it & they only did one take. Ah, who cares- it provides a great cardio/core workout! GET AMPED! JK….. that’s what they yell after each “set.” Hopefully I can maintain a good discipline to consistently pursue Tae Bo again.
