It was a super humid and windy evening with tornado warnings in surrounding counties, but the storms held off until we were finished shooting, thankfully. We were on a bit of a time crunch since Melina needed these photos for her upcoming sorority rush week, so I was praying that the weather worked out for us. Prayers answered. This was such a fun shoot!

I was curious to see where Melina’s name originated, and sometime during the middle of the shoot she mentioned she was half Greek. So cool. We talked about how her family has a house in Greece that she’s been to probably once a year her entire life. Then, we discovered that we both have grandma’s who speak another language that we cannot converse with, but only through affection. Hers speaks Greek, mine speaks Portuguese.

Melina’s going to have a blast at Arkansas and every sorority would be silly not to extend a bid to her! Just for the small window of time we shared together, I can tell she’s just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
