It was 1998 and I had just won first place for “Story Telling” at the middle school regional theater/speech competition. I was flabbergasted, but knew I had just ventured down a long road of storytelling ahead of me. My love for storytelling has continued, just through the lens of my camera.
I give God all the glory for using my talent to show people how beautiful and unique He created them.
My curiosity in photography began when I was 10 and my dad bought me my first camera, the Polaroid… then 35 mm film cameras struck my interest, then SLR cameras, then digital and medium format and large format cameras struck me while studying photography at TCU. I currently shoot everything digitally.
I truly enjoy the challenge and art of shooting across various fields of photography. Although, my true passion is child photography. There is such an innocence and unexplainable beauty that children posses, especially in combination with natural light. Their zest for life should be captured and cherished forever. I also enjoy shooting people of all ages in candid settings, casually directed, not all stuffy and posed.
I’m located in Dallas, Texas, but excited and more than willing to travel! Something you’ll quickly learn about me is that my husband and I love our funny golden retriever, George.
