I randomly came across a blog yesterday that mentioned a New Zealand Christian musician (that’s a mouth full!) So I did a little research and realized I really enjoy her music A LOT! Great lyrics, simple videos, beautiful delicate- yet powerful voice. Her name is Brooke Fraser. She released her second album in 2006, titled “Albertine” named after a child in Africa that impacted her life so much. She sounds like somewhat similar to Nicole Nordeman.
As Donna Stuart says in her blog: The title track “Albertine” is actually a young girl’s name…whom she met while visiting her sponsored children in Rwanda. This child left an impression on Brooke… one that stirred a sense of urgency and left her unsettled. Flying home from Rwanda Fraser writes, “I will tell the world. I will tell them where I’ve been. I will keep my word I will tell them Albertine.”
This video below is titled “Shadowfeet” from her album, Albertine.
This last weekend was my coworker, Patrick Daly’s wedding. His fiance, now wife, is named Kasey. She was absolutely beautiful!! She wore a very intricate, traditional, conservative, and tasteful wedding dress. Fit her perfectly. They treated guests with a very wonderful dessert reception in another section of the church. Great idea! Very yummy!
My long time friend, Monica, flew in town to visit me while Brian was out of town. She was my date for Patrick’s wedding. We had a blast being giggling as we have always been. I don’t know what it is, but when I get together with my best friends I can’t help by laugh non-stop… and that’s how it SHOULD be!

Sunday before I returned Monica to the airport we ate at my FAVORITE sushi restaurant in Mockingbird Station, Reikyu Sushi. I can’t say enough great things about the place or the people that work there….not to mention the amazing presentation of the food! My favorite dish is the vegetarian avacado rolls, with mango sauce. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it.
Hahaha I love it. I had the BEST time hanging out with you! I’m sad to have to come back to a week full of stress right before I leave, but I’m so grateful to have had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with such an amazing friend. (still shocked and disappointed that I forgot my own camera, haha, but at least you got nice pics!)
A bunch of my friends and sorority sisters were in town (Fort Worth) the other weekend…. so, naturally all 17 of us ate at Joe T’s on Friday evening. It was so fun to see everyone!
